Shri Vasantharao Satya Venkatarao - Non-Executive Chairman

Shri Vasantharao Satya Venkatarao has over 26 years of professional experience with nearly 19 years in IFCI Limited as a part of the senior management. Prior to this, he was with The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO). He is a graduate in Commerce and have done M.L. (International Law) and P.G. Diploma in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management. He has secured Gold Medal in M.L. (International Law) from Andhra University and stood first in B.L for Nyaya Vidya Parishad Law College affiliated to Andhra University. Given Shri Rao’s vast and diverse experience, IIDL would benefit under his guidance.

 
 

Shri Prasoon-Nominee Director

Shri Prasoon is BE (Electrical), PGDM in Energy Management, CAIIB and he has passed Limited Insolvency Examination - Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) immediately after setting up of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). He possesses 20 years rich experience in the field of Credit Appraisal, Sanctioning of Loans, Credit Administration, Contracting, Project Monitoring etc. At present, he is Chief General Manager of IFCI Limited and heading a vertical comprising of Corporate Planning, Sugar Development Fund, Modified Special Incentive Package, MIS and Debt & Equity Syndication. Prior to this, he was Chief Credit Officer and headed stressed asset management vertical of IFCI Limited. He also headed Mumbai Regional Office of IFCI Limited. Presently, he is on the Board of MPCON Limited and IFCI Infrastructure Development Limited as Nominee Director of IFCI Limited.

 

Shri Shivendra Tomar- Managing Director 

Shri Shivendra Tomar is a General Manager of IFCI Limited. He has vast experience in financial sector having exposure of working as Chief Credit Officer of IFCI and headed/ worked in various departments of IFCI comprising Resources, Corporate Advisory, Recovery and NPA Resolution, Credit, Subsidiaries & Associates. Besides, he has rich experience to shoulder responsibilities of Head Institutions/Companies viz. Tourism Finance Corporation of India Ltd (TFCI), IFCI Venture Capital Funds Ltd (IVCF), and IFCI Infrastructure Development Ltd. (IIDL). The assignments, as MD of these entities, cover all spheres of management i.e. Business Development, Administration, HR, Legal, Credit (sanction, disbursement and recoveries), resource raising and various regulatory and statutory compliances. During his tenure in IFCI, he has been Directors on the Board of various entities. Apart from his responsibility as Managing Director of IIDL, he is acting as Executive Director of Institute of Leadership Development and heading Credit Enhancement Guarantee Scheme for Scheduled Castes (CEGSSC), Venture Capital Funds for Scheduled Castes (VCFSC).  He is also acting as nominee of IFCI Limited in the Management Committee of Emerging India Growth Fund – CVCF V (MC-EIGF) of Canbank Venture Capital Fund Ltd. (CVCFL).

 

Shri. D K Singla - Director

He is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He is in practice since January 1989 and has vast experience of handling Accounts, Audits, Investigations, Income Tax/Wealth Tax/Sale Tax/Service Tax and other related matters of a large number of Govt. Undertakings, Banks, MNCs and Corporate/Non-Corporate Clients. He has successfully completed various Certificate Courses conducted by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi viz: Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting & Fraud Detection, Certificate Course on Concurrent Audits of Banks, etc. Twice, he has been a Non-Executive Director of Punjab National Bank and additionally, Member/Chairman of its various Committees. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Chandigarh Industrial & Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (a UT Govt. Undertaking). He has been a Non-Executive Director of PNB Gilts Ltd. (a subsidiary of Punjab National Bank).He has been a Member of smaller Committee of BOD of MARKFED (a Punjab Govt. Undertaking). He has been a Member of Audit Committee of the Institute of Auto Parts Technology/Research and Development Centre for Bicycle & Sewing Machine (UNDP/UNIDO assisted Punjab Govt. Projects). He has been a Member of various Committees of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, viz: Committee on Ethical Standards, Committee on Public Finance & Govt. Accounting, Ethical Standards Board, Continuing Professional Education Committee, Committee on Banking Insurance & Pension, Professional Development Committee, etc.

 

Dr. Sumita Rai is a Ph.D in Organizational Behavior from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India before joining MDI¸ Prof. Sumita Rai was a member of faculty of Human Resource Group at Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore and Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow. She taught at BEM/Kedge Management School, France University of Szeged Hungary. Currently she is Professor and Chairperson of Post-Graduate Program in Human Resource Management at MDI. She has consulted extensively with various Public¸ Private¸ and MNCs in India such as Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Petronet-LNG, Nestle India Ltd to name a few. She regularly conducts trainings and Leadership Development Programs for PSUs on Advance Management. IAS & defense officers¸ PSB officers, PSE Mid to Senior Leaders and MNCs with a focus on competency mapping and profiling; understanding self, Managerial Effectiveness, Negotiation skills and Conflict Management, Team building, cross cultural training and exploring personality. She is a certified trainer of MBTI from CPP Asia Pacific. Dr. Rai has published more than 40 research papers in various national and international journals. She has co-authored a book titled “Millennials and the workplace: Challenges for Architecting the Organization of Tomorrow” which has been published by Sage International in May 2012. She has also been actively involved in joint research at national and international levels. Prof Rai also works in the area of Ethical Leadership.

 Dr. Sumita Rai – Additional Director

 Dr. Sumita Rai is a Professor and Chairperson of Post-Graduate Program in Human Resource Management at MDI. She is Ph.D in   Organizational Behaviour from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India.

 Prior to MDI¸ Dr. Sumita Rai was a member of faculty of Human Resource Group at Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore and   Indian   Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow. She has also taught at BEM/Kedge Management School, France University of Szeged   Hungary.

 She regularly conducts trainings and Leadership Development Programs for PSUs on Advance Management, IAS & defence officers¸ PSB   officers, PSE Mid to Senior Leaders and MNCs with a focus on competency mapping and profiling; understanding self, Managerial Effectiveness, Negotiation skills and Conflict Management, Team building, cross cultural training and exploring personality. She has also been actively involved in joint research at national and international levels. She is also working in the area of Ethical Leadership.
