Shri Manoj Mittal – Non-Executive Chairman
Shri Manoj Mittal aged about 54 years has a track record of over 3 decades in propelling organizational growth and profitability through strategic leadership, multi - functional expertise, building / optimizing organizational processes.
At present, Shri Mittal is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IFCI Ltd. Earlier, he worked as a Deputy Managing Director at Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) from Jan 2016 – Jan 2021. He was closely involved in the development of SIDBI Vision 2.0 and its successful implementation to emerge as a financially stronger impact institution.
He had played a lead role in restructuring of dues of Banks to MFIs during the A.P. MFI Crisis in 2010 and implementation of responsible lending initiatives. He also has comprehensive experience in design, management and impact evaluation of various sustainability and developmental programs funded by multilateral agencies / Government of India. He is a Strong Votary of Credit Plus approach for holistic development with expertise in extending capital (Debt and Equity) and development support to MSMEs / Startups, financial intermediaries - Banks / Non-Banking Finance Companies / Micro Finance Institutions, Alternate Investment Funds.
Shri Rahul Bhave – Nominee Director
Shri Rahul Bhave is a senior banker with over 24 years of commercial banking experience in various capacities and has worked across the country. He was working as Executive Director in National Housing Bank since 2020. He has worked to encourage a strong housing and housing finance system in the country through refinancing, strengthening the credit delivery network at the grassroots level by effective supervision of HFCs. Currently he is working as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) in IFCI Limited.
He has experience in leading various zones in a commercial bank. Apart from expertise in retail operations, he also has experience in the areas of refinancing, supervision, recovery, risk management and IT.
He has also served on committees set up by RBI and IBA on emerging technologies in banking and risk management.
Mr. Bhave holds an MBA in Public Management and Policy and a Master's in Statistics from IIM, Ahmedabad. He has also done CAIIB.
Shri Venugopal K Nair - Director
Shri Venugopal K Nair is Director General of Police – Retired with vast experience in the field of Policing and Administration that included Law & order, Security, Vigilance. He also has exposure to Industry having worked as Managing Director of the Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation and the State Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporation. His stint in Delhi as Director Vigilance in Steel Authority provided him with deep insight into Corporate Governance and Corporate Compliances with a better understanding of corporate malfeasance. At present, he is serving as an Independent External Monitor (IEM) with National Aluminium Corporation (NALCO), Bhubaneswar, NTPC Limited and ITI Bangalore (GOI). He was earlier IEM with Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL), Vizag and also Director of Malabar Cements & Kerala Minerals & Metals Ltd. (Govt. of Kerala). Prior to this, he served Reliance Industries Limited as Advisor Corporate Affairs and Advisor and Consultant to L&T on Kochi Metro Project (KMRL). He had served Kerala Police Administration at various levels from 1980 to 2012. He is MSc. (Fibre Science & Technology) and has a Post Graduate Diploma (Textile Technology) from the University of Leeds, UK.
![Dr. Sumita Rai is a Ph.D in Organizational Behavior from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India before joining MDI¸ Prof. Sumita Rai was a member of faculty of Human Resource Group at Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore and Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow. She taught at BEM/Kedge Management School, France University of Szeged Hungary. Currently she is Professor and Chairperson of Post-Graduate Program in Human Resource Management at MDI. She has consulted extensively with various Public¸ Private¸ and MNCs in India such as Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Petronet-LNG, Nestle India Ltd to name a few. She regularly conducts trainings and Leadership Development Programs for PSUs on Advance Management. IAS & defense officers¸ PSB officers, PSE Mid to Senior Leaders and MNCs with a focus on competency mapping and profiling; understanding self, Managerial Effectiveness, Negotiation skills and Conflict Management, Team building, cross cultural training and exploring personality. She is a certified trainer of MBTI from CPP Asia Pacific. Dr. Rai has published more than 40 research papers in various national and international journals. She has co-authored a book titled “Millennials and the workplace: Challenges for Architecting the Organization of Tomorrow” which has been published by Sage International in May 2012. Dr. Sumita Rai - Director
Dr. Sumita Rai is a Professor of Organizational Behavior at MDI. She is a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India.
Prior to MDI¸ Dr. Sumita Rai was a member of faculty of Human Resource Group at Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore and Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow. She has also taught at BEM/Kedge Management School, France University of Szeged Hungary.
